I am an aspiring Electrical and Information Engineer with a passion to empower people through technology. I have interests in electronics, telecommunications, control and systems engineering. An area of particular importance to me is addressing the missing miner problem. This involved me designing a Wireless Sensor Network for underground mines to establish communication when mines collapse.
In 2018, I finished my undergraduate and honours degree in Electrical and Information Engineering from the University of the Witwatersrand in South Africa. I am currently working at a brand new start up in Johannesburg.
Throughout my university career both myself and my colleagues battled to find good resources to make sense of the beautiful world of Electrical Engineering. We, as engineers, are problem solvers and through this experience, I was inspired to create a YouTube channel whereby I could teach others the information that I was looking for but also help other become good engineers.
Frequently Asked Questions
How Often do you post videos?
At the moment, I plan to post one video a week. It may be more or may be less depending on my work load and the what people are interested in at a given time.
What are your videos about?
My videos are all about electrical engineering. I am creating videos to help people be better engineers. This will include videos that teach theory, how to use engineering tools like MATLAB and LaTeX, how to use measurement equipment, how to design systems and so on. I will also be having guests to discuss their career to advise those considering a career in electrical engineering.
Where do you post videos?
How do i get in contact with you?
You can email me at [email protected]
Do you really think π = 3?
No I am very well aware that π ≠ 3. The name came about because my girlfriend, the beautiful Danielle Wilson, is a physicist and they are always making jokes that engineers round off everything and the name just stuck!
